​Auditions for the Miracle Worker - Posted 5-22-13

There are still plenty of good time slots for auditions for the fall play, The Miracle Worker, on both Tuesday, May 28 and Wednesday, May 29. Take a minute and sign up for one today; better yet bring a friend with you and both sign-up! You will find that the enjoyment you reap by being in the show will repay you one thousand fold, guaranteed! Sign-up sheets are posted on the Music Room door. Stop by and sign-up today.

​Boys Head Varsity Basketball Coach - Catholic Central High School is a 670 student co-ed school, grade 9-12, serving the Grand Rapids metropolitan area for over 100 years.  Over 550 students participate each year in a wide range of sports at top notch facilities.  The Cougars compete in the OK Gold Conference. 

Position Summary:  Responsible for planning and implementation of a quality Boys Basketball program supporting the school mission.  Primary duties include: establishing and maintaining the quality tradition and standard of Catholic Central High School Athletics, providing the student-athletes with the knowledge and fundamentals necessary to succeed, financial management of the basketball program and basketball camps; team practice and facility scheduling; and management of all levels of the program.  Additional duties include providing quality faith based experiences within our community; maintaining the high quality up keep of all school facilities; and compliance with OK-Conference and MHSAA policies.
 
Classification and Salary: The Boys Head Varsity Basketball Coach is classified as a “Part-Time Coaching Position”, reporting to the School Athletic Director and supervising part-time assistant coaches of all levels.  Salary is negotiable within Catholic Secondary School guidelines.

Last chance for summer Cougar Gear - posted 5/15/13

Catholic Central Cougar Gear Store will be open on Monday, June 3 from 3 p.m.- 7 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 4 from 11 a.m. -3 p.m.  Cougar Gear is located at Catholic Central in the gym lobby.  Great gifts for graduations, Father's Day and fun summer clothes. Infant through adult sizes available. Also available are Catholic Central flags, Pandora style CC beads, umbrellas, stadium seats, car stickers etc. 

This is the last time Cougar Gear is open until fall.     

Sports Physical Night Wednesday May 29 - Posted 5-22-13

Once again we will be hosting our annual Catholic Central sports physical night next Wednesday, May 29th from 5:30–7:30pm in the north building.  The cost for a sports physical is $15 and checks should be made payable to Catholic Central Athletics.
 
 
For the 2013-14 school year all athletes must have a physical completed on or after April 15, 2013.  No student athlete will be permitted to participate in fall practices until a completed physical is on file in the athletic office.  There are zero exceptions to this policy.
 
 
Attached you will find a copy of the OK Conference Sports Physical form, physical forms are also available in the Main & Athletic Offices, and can be printed from the Catholic Central Athletics or High School websites (see links below):  Each year we receive a number of partially filled out physical forms that we have to send back.  This delay often results in missed practice time.  Please double check to ensure you have completed every line of the physical form!
