ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY – October 9, 1936, harnessing the power of the mighty Colorado River, Hoover Dam begins sending electricity over transmission lines spanning 266 miles of mountains and deserts to run the lights, radios, and stoves of Los Angeles.

SENIOR LOT CLOSED ON WEDNESDAY – This Wednesday the Senior lot will not be available for any students to use.  The lot is reserved for those attending the High School with a Higher Calling luncheon.

BAND – Good Luck to the Cougar Marching Band as they compete at the District Marching Band Festival on Tuesday, Oct 9 at East Kentwood High School!

Liturgical Ministry Sign-Up – Students are encouraged to sign up for various ministries to assist at our weekly school Mass. Sign-ups are available in Theology classes but you can also sign up by clicking on this link and filling out a short Google Form. Once all sign-ups have been completed, we will announce our trainings. The goal is to have everyone signed up and trained by the end of October. Thank you! Liturgical Ministry Sign-Up

Service Hours – New Volunteer opportunity information is available in 304. Stop by even if you did not sign up to be part of Uprise.
BLOOD DRIVE – Our first Blood Drive of the school year will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 31. The sign up sheet is in 304. You need to be 16 years old.  New donors will need to complete a donor form before the drive. Snacks provided to donors.  Please keep in mind – one blood donation could save up to 3 lives.

Lost & Found – Lost items are in the main office.  Items that are not picked up will be donated to Good Will on October 12.

Peer Tutoring – Attention Juniors and Seniors – Student Support Services is looking for peer tutors to work with students in all subjects.  If you are interested in helping out your fellow students by tutoring, please click on the link below and complete the google form.  After we receive your response we will reach out to you.  All tutoring hours are eligible for service hours and a great service to note on a college application or resume.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Joynt by email –

School Pictures & ID’s are in the main office ready for pick-up.
Yearbook Ordering – Students will receive order forms for Yearbooks in English classes this week.  If you purchase a yearbook now, it is almost $10 cheaper than waiting until the end of the year.   Order and pay online.
Family Directories – Family Directories, provided by the Band Boosters are available in the main office for $10.00.
