Today’s Blessing

May the God of Creativity be with you, helping you to brave new ground and test new horizons; calling you to trust and risk being a co-creator of the Kingdom. May the gift of creativity bring you to a recognition of ever new revelations of God’s goodness. May the blessing of Creativity be on you.– Maxine Shonk, OP

CC Capella Choir

Congratulations to the CC Capella Choir for continuing the 20 year streak of Excellence at the State Choir Festival at Hope College!

They earned the highest designation of Excellence for the competition. We are all so proud of their hard work and artistry. They did a great job of representing Catholic Central at the state level.

Classroom Highlights

Students in Mrs. VanderMolen’s Biology class learn about photosynthesis by measuring the rate of oxygen released as a result of exposure to different colors of light. “It becomes a contest for the students. After taking their baseline data with white light, I propose a challenge to see what group can increase their Rate of Photosynthesis by the greatest amount through changing different variables!” Mrs. Julie VanderMolen, Science Teacher.

Meet Hien from Vietnam. She goes by the nickname Audrey. She is going to be spending her senior year of high school attending Catholic Central.

Audrey currently is attending Creative Technology Academy in Cedar Springs for her junior year. She loves to cook and bake and would love to cook her new host family some Asian cuisine. Audrey loves to dance and sing, and will do so to any type of music. She also enjoys traveling. Audrey is a fun loving, caring, passionate, girl that will brighten your lives.

Please contact the ECEP office at 616-951-7010 or if you want to learn more about welcoming Audrey into your home and your hearts.
