Theology Teacher

Catholic Central High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking a Theology teacher for the 2017-18 school year.

Catholic Central High School:

Catholic Central High School is rich in both history and tradition. Founded in 1906 by Bishop Henry Richter and the Dominican Sisters, it is the oldest Catholic, coeducational, diocesan high school in the U.S. It draws and benefits from a culturally diverse student body of 645 students, grades 9-12.   Since being established, over 20,000 students have graduated from Catholic Central, many of whom still serve our community today.   In its 110-year history, Catholic Central has maintained its mission to challenge students to know and love God, seek knowledge and truth, respect the dignity of each person, and contribute to society through leadership and service.

Theology Department:   

The Catholic Central Theology Department helps students develop a deeper knowledge of the Catholic faith and its relevance throughout their lives, develop a greater love of God, and recognize the dignity of all people and the value of all creation.  Students will have opportunities to serve others in response to Christ’s call for justice and be people of conscience motivated by the Holy Spirit.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Roman Catholic theology, exhibit a strong interest in and concern for quality teaching, and be committed to Catholic Central’s mission as a Roman Catholic and diocesan high school.  Teaching experience is desired.

  • Education: BA in Theology, with MA preferred
  • Previous teaching experience preferred
  • Must be a practicing Catholic
