ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2025
TALENT SHOW - Remember that talent show sign-ups are today during lunch in the cafeteria. Look for Mrs. Swiatek during A Lunch or Mr. Aldrich during B Lunch. They will be sitting near the first floor entrance with the signup sheets. As a reminder, we are accepting entries in both the performance and art categories. If you are participating in a small group, you are free to join up with friends from other houses; your contribution will count toward your house. The talent show will be held on December 10, which means it's the perfect time for you to show off your Christmas caroling, Nutcracker pirouetting, or general elfish dancing routines. Please let your house dean know if you have any questions.
THANKSGIVING DRIVE - From November 17–25, we’ll be holding our annual Thanksgiving Drive to collect food, clothing, and diapers for those in need. Check out the FLYER for a full list of donation items and the number of points each item is worth. All items should be brought to the 1st Floor Student Center before the first bell so House leadership students can record your donation for points. This year, there will be one double points day for food donations on November 20. Don’t miss this chance to make a real difference; help feed the hungry and bring warmth and comfort to local families this holiday season.
FALL BAND SHOWCASE CONCERT - On Sunday, November 16, we will be presenting our Fall Band Showcase Concert. This concert will take place at 2:30pm and will be held in the CCHS gym. We are excited to provide this experience as it will be the first time ALL of our secondary school-aged students (grades 6 - 12) will get to perform in their own unique concert setting featuring music by our Intermediate and Advanced bands as well as a stand-still performance by the Catholic Central High School "Cougar" Marching Band. The program should last less than one hour in total. We hope that you will be able to take the time to join us for this event. We are very proud of the progress and achievement each of these ensembles have demonstrated this season and we are sure you will enjoy seeing the musical and personal interaction it will promote.
UPCOMING BLOOD DRIVE - Mark your calendars! The second CC Blood Drive of this school year is happening December 5, 2025. If you're 16 or older, this is your chance to make a difference—one donation can help save up to three lives! BLESSING OF THE DAY - May you be made holy in your helplessness, when you must stand powerless in the face of realities that are not in your control. At those times may you look around you with compassion for those who share your vulnerability, and may you realize together that you need not stand alone. May you know the reality of God's presence and the mystery of God's power in your life. May the Power of God bless you. --Maxine Shonk, OP
