Parent Setup

Catholic Central has adopted the use of the Canvas Learning Management System. Every course has a digital equivalent through our Canvas Platform.

Via their school-issued iPads, students log in to their Canvas accounts and access all of their assignments, notes, quizzes, tests, and grades conveniently linked within their calendar and available 24/7. They can receive class handouts, complete and turn in homework, and work with other students in collaboration groups. Students can also log in to their Canvas accounts via their home computers to complete work if their iPad is not readily available.


Canvas is a great place to stay current on your students’ curriculum, coursework, and due dates. You can view student information via a web browser or from an iOS or Android app. To view course information in Canvas, follow these three steps below. Step 1: Request pairing code

When creating an account in the Parent app, you will need to enter a pairing code, which is generated from your student’s account. View the lesson below to learn how your student can generate this code:

Step 2: Canvas parent account creation

Parents can be paired with student Canvas accounts with observer credentials by following the instructions below. Note: when searching for our Canvas school, enter ‘Diocese of Grand Rapids.’

Step 3: Parent login
