Dear Catholic Central Community,
It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce Mike Jacob ‘03, as the new Athletic Director of Catholic Central High School. A proud alumnus, Mike brings a deep understanding of our school’s tradition and commitment to excellence. He will begin on Monday, September 8.
Mike is a familiar face to many in the CC community, having previously served as a teacher, coach, and Dean of Students from 2012 - 2018. In these roles, he demonstrated a strong dedication to student formation, leadership development, and fostering a culture of faith, respect, and accountability.
“Catholic Central has always been a special place for me and my family. I’m excited to partner with our coaches, parents, and community to ensure our athletic programs continue to reflect the excellence and Christ-centered values that define Catholic Central," Mike shared.
Mike holds two Bachelor’s degrees from Grand Valley State University and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Notre Dame. Most recently, Mike served as the Vice President of New Business and Real Estate at Hughes Management Group.
As a former Cougar student-athlete and coach, Mike will now lead the athletic department with a focus on servant leadership, excellence in coaching, and building programs that reflect the highest standards of sportsmanship and personal development.
I want to thank the search committee – consisting of parents, varsity coaches, members of the school board, and staff – who recommended Mike for this important position. Mike and his wife, Kristin (CC class of ‘04), are parishioners of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic parish, where they also send their three children to school.
I am confident that Mike will bring both vision and heart to the role of Athletic Director.
Please join us in welcoming Mike into this vital leadership position.
Go Cougars!
