Catholic Central High School is pleased to announce the return of Father Colin J. Mulhall, who will once again serve as Co-Chaplain beginning this fall.

Fr. Mulhall previously served as Chaplain from 2017 to 2022, during which time he became a beloved spiritual guide for students, faculty, and families alike. His approachable nature, theological depth, and vibrant energy left a lasting impact, and his return is a source of great excitement for members of the Catholic Central community.

A native of West Michigan, Fr. Colin is a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville and earned his Master of Divinity from Mundelein Seminary. He was ordained a diocesan priest in 2016, later serving as Pastor of Holy Redeemer Parish in Jenison and taking on diocesan responsibilities as Director of Continuing Formation of Priests. Most recently, he completed a Licentiate in Canon Law to assist Bishop Walkowiak in his governance of the diocese. He currently serves as Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia for the Diocese of Grand Rapids.

“We are thrilled to welcome back Fr. Colin,” said Greg Deja, President. “He knows our school, relates well to young adults, and brings a clear and joyful vision for how the Gospel can shape lives. We are deeply grateful to Bishop Walkowiak for his continued support of Catholic education and for blessing us with faithful priests to serve as chaplains.”

Fr. Colin joins Fr. José Quintana, Fr. Steven Cron, and a robust Campus Ministry team – alongside our dedicated faculty and staff – to encourage, affirm, and sustain the formation of a vibrant Catholic community.

Please join us in welcoming Fr. Colin back to the Cougar family!
