Dear Parents,
The announcement of the Catholic Promise continues to uplift our community with renewed hope, energy, and gratitude. As we prepare for the 2026-27 school year, the reenrollment process for returning students will begin on November 17th. Our goal is to ensure a clear, supportive, and streamlined experience for you.
What You Need to Do
What do I do if I am not pursuing the Catholic Promise or financial aid?
If you are requesting parish support (and we encourage you to), remember to submit your Parish Support Form to your Parish Office. The parish subsidy has a monetary benefit to both your family and Catholic Central High School. When approved, this subsidy will be reflected on the tuition contract you receive in February.
How do currently enrolled students or incoming 9th grade students pursue the Catholic Promise tuition rate only?
Follow the instructions below and complete the required tasks.
How do (Catholic and non-Catholic) families apply for financial aid?
Our standard Tuition Assistance Program remains unchanged, providing financial assistance for families seeking (additional) support. Please apply through the Blackbaud Financial Aid Management application. Any awarded financial aid will be coordinated with the Catholic Promise, where applicable. Families are strongly encouraged to complete their applications by December 1st to optimize their financial aid packages.
Catholic Promise Eligibility Requirements
Here are detailed instructions to obtain the Catholic Promise rate, but here is an overview:
1. 2024 IRS Form 1040
Parents will be required to submit a 1040 Form to verify financial eligibility. Income may be considered for any parent, stepparent, or guardian financially supporting the student.
Upload and submit the 1040 Form via Finalsite between Nov. 17 – Jan. 31, 2026.
We will strive to confirm your financial eligibility within 5 business days.
Financial Verification Disclaimer: Additional review may be required in consideration of business income, trust distributions, and other financial resources. The Scholarship Committee may request supplementary documentation and retains sole discretion over final eligibility decisions.
2. Parish Support Form
Active membership in the parish is confirmed by your pastor. Provide the Parish Support Form to your Parish Office and they will send the completed form to our Business Office.
3. Family Promise Agreement and Conference
The Family Agreement affirms partnership in our Catholic mission and school expectations through a 2-step process: 1) Review, complete, and submit the Agreement via Finalsite. 2) Attend a 30-minute conference with a Catholic Central staff member.
More than a scholarship, the Catholic Promise seeks to cultivate relationships with parents who value Catholic education, faith formation, and community life. This partnership is essential to sustaining an excellent, Christ-centered education for our students.
During our time together, we will walk through the Catholic Promise Family Agreement in detail and discuss the many ways parents can contribute to our school community. Our goal is to help match your gifts, interests, and availability with the school’s needs and opportunities.
Please select a meeting time using the link here: Schedule Now
We invite these conversations with the understanding that you meet the core eligibility requirements for the Catholic Promise: that your household income is less than $300,000 and that you are an active parishioner in good standing at a Catholic parish. Please know that any personal financial information you share through the application process is held in strict confidence. The staff member you meet with will not have access to your financial details. Our focus in these conversations is on partnership and mission.
If an in-person meeting presents a hardship, please contact admissions@grcatholiccentral.org to arrange a virtual conversation.
Special guidelines for the inaugural year of the Catholic Promise for returning CC students:
Then What Happens?
February 2026
You will receive your tuition statement for 2026–27 electronically in mid-February, assuming you have verified your financial aid application by 12/1/2025 and/or completed the Catholic Promise documentation by 1/31/2026.
This tuition statement will show your annual payment, reflective of the Catholic Promise tuition rate, parish support, and/or financial aid, where applicable.
June 2026 Review
CC administration will confirm Catholic Promise eligibility based on final GPA and other program requirements outlined in the Family Agreement.
No later than June 12, 2026
Families whose students do not meet Catholic Promise eligibility requirements will be notified by administration and given next steps.
As always, we are here to support you throughout this process. If you have any questions, please contact Joel Hubert, Director of Admissions & Enrollment, at joelhubert@grcatholiccentral.org or (616) 233-5802.
Thank you for your belief in Catholic education. Together, we are building a stronger future for our students, our Church, and our community.
With gratitude,
Greg Deja
