Catholic Central's Student Ambassadors recently partnered with St. Thomas the Apostle School to lead "Faith in the Real World," a retreat designed to help seventh-grade students explore how their Catholic faith connects to everyday life. Over the course of the afternoon, students participated in interactive activities, small-group discussions, witness talks, and a guided prayer experience focused on friendships, decision-making, leadership, and navigating the pressures of daily life. The retreat challenged students to consider what it means to live their faith beyond Sunday and how their beliefs can influence the choices they make each day.
What made the retreat especially meaningful was that it was planned and led by 12 Catholic Central Student Ambassadors. These students spent weeks developing activities, discussion questions, witness talks, and prayer experiences before serving as facilitators and mentors throughout the day. Following the retreat, the St. Thomas leadership team shared overwhelmingly positive feedback and extended an invitation for Catholic Central to return and lead the retreat again next year. The opportunity not only strengthened the relationship between our schools but also provided our Student Ambassadors with a powerful opportunity to grow as faith-filled leaders while serving younger students in our Catholic school community.
