Uniform Update: Skirts

Dear Parents and Guardians,

At Catholic Central, our uniform policy exists to support a culture of excellence and shared identity among our students. A consistent and well-defined uniform standard reinforces high expectations, minimizes distractions, and helps students present themselves with confidence and dignity. As part of our commitment to forming young people who take pride in themselves and our community, we believe clear and consistently enforced expectations are essential.

Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Catholic Central will recommit to consistent enforcement of all aspects of our uniform policy, with particular attention to skirt length. Because skirt length often involves ordering, tailoring, or replacement, we are sharing this clarification well in advance to provide families adequate time to plan and ensure compliance.

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the policy:

Uniform Skirt Policy

  • Uniform skirts may be worn at any time of the year.
  • Length must be no more than three inches above the top of the kneecap.
  • Skirts must be worn without rolling of the waistband.
  • Skirts must include the Catholic Central logo on the bottom hem.
  • If a student’s skirt is not in compliance, the student will be required to wear uniform shorts or pants for the remainder of the school year, or until a compliant skirt is obtained.

To assist families, Catholic Central has purchased a skirt in every size. Ensuring proper fit will make compliance easier for students. Families may contact the main office to schedule a fitting, stop by during the dates listed below, or arrange a time during the school day to try on a skirt.

Try-On Dates (Main Office)

  • February 10, 11, 12 - before and after school
  • February 24, 25, 26 - before and after school

Skirts may be ordered from our uniform supplier, Flynn O’Hara. Please note that delivery may take several weeks. If a family is in need of assistance with this process, including financial support, please contact the main office.

We recognize that uniform expectations can create logistical and financial considerations for families, and we want to be clear that our goal is not compliance for its own sake, but care for our students and the community we share. We are committed to working with families and ensuring all students are able to meet uniform expectations.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
