VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY - Enjoy working with kids? And would you also enjoy a volunteer activity that involves running? San Juan Diego Academy is looking for volunteers to help coach the Total Trek Quest program this Spring at the school. TTQ is a program for 3rd to 5th grade boys that teaches them to make positive life choices through running, culminating in a competitive 5K at the end of the practices. Practices run on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:40 to 5:10 p.m., beginning March 17 and ending on May 16. (There are no practices during Spring break.) All you would need to do is run with the boys and encourage them to keep moving toward their goal. Running times range from 20 minutes to 40 minutes. There will be trained coaches present who will be responsible for actually running practices. Coaches may be male or female, but must be at least 16 years old. CAREER TALKS - Career Talk opportunities this week include - Thursday 2/12 - Pharmacist - Kathryn Pilczuk, a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Corewell Health will talk about being a pharmacist and surrounding careers.
