ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4, 2026
SCHEDULE FOR THURSDAY, MARCH 5
WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP - Parents, students, and staff are invited to join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly watercolor workshop led by our very own Mrs. Blair and fr. Doug. Together, they will guide participants through the basics of watercolor painting, offering simple techniques, helpful tips, and encouragement along the way. Whether you’ve never picked up a paintbrush or just want to brush up on your skills, this is a wonderful opportunity to explore your creativity while enjoying the fellowship of painting alongside others in our school community. We hope you’ll join us! See this FLYER for more information.
COUGAR GEAR - The Downtown Den is stocked and ready for spring! Spring sports are starting up, and it’s the perfect time to gear up in your favorite Cougar spirit wear. Stop by the Downtown Den to grab sweatshirts, tees, hats, and more to support our teams in style! The Downtown Den will be open tonight from 5:30-7:00 PM, and again on Thursday during Parent-Teacher Conferences from 4:30-7:00 PM. They’ll also be open during Bandtastic, so be sure to swing by while you’re there! Show your Cougar pride this spring - we can’t wait to see you!

GIRLS' WATER POLO - The CC-EGR girls co-op water polo team is looking for players and anyone interested in trying a new sport. No prior water polo knowledge or experience is required. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY - Enjoy working with kids? And would you also enjoy a volunteer activity that involves running? San Juan Diego Academy is looking for volunteers to help coach the Total Trek Quest program this Spring at the school. TTQ is a program for 3rd to 5th grade boys that teaches them to make positive life choices through running, culminating in a competitive 5K run at the end of the practices. Practices run on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:40 to 5:10 p.m., beginning March 17 and ending on May 16. (There are no practices during Spring break.) All you would need to do is run with the boys and encourage them to keep moving toward their goal. Running times range from 20 minutes to 40 minutes. There will be trained coaches present who will be responsible for actually running practices. Coaches may be male or female, but must be at least 16 years old. If you are interested, or might have questions, please contact Tom Sarb at tpsarb@gmail.com; 616-340-7561.
GIRLS’ SOCCER - Open Play & Speed & Agility at the CAT. All are welcome!

BLESSING OF THE DAY - May God make you holy when you are tired and weary, when the work of the day exhausts you or the burden of life weighs upon you. At these times may you be lifted into Sabbath time with God, who rested after all the work he had done and realized how good it all is. May you look back on your day and on your life and see goodness. May you rest in that goodness and know God's blessing of Rest. --Maxine Shonk, OP
